What does yoga mean to you?
A long but the most beautiful journey towards self awareness, kindness and compassion. A journey to realizing our true nature and removing any impressions caused by life so that we may cope with life with patience, strength, empathy and rationality.

How would you describe your teaching style?
Adaptable. Completely depends on the student and what their body, mind and personality might require.
Some students require a push while some require gentleness.

What is your favorite yoga pose?
Sirashasana – Headstand : Offers steadiness, calm, strength and a different perspective
Balasana – Childs pose : a very soothing pose, my go to when I’m feeling anxious
Trikonasana – Triangle pose: helped me immensely with back pain

Who inspires you?
My teachers, Ravi sir and Srimathy ma’am, their commitment to learning and teaching and their approach to yoga is something I take great inspiration from. They’ve learnt from the greatest of teachers and spent hours studying and practicing yoga, and their capacity to adapt it to each student and heal something within them is magical.

What is your superpower?
My desire to keep learning and improving my skills and knowledge.

What recharges you?
Intermediate Series in Ashtanga or a backbending class followed by pranayama, a dance practice session, time in nature, swimming in a lake / river

What makes you happy?
Spending time with my close family and friends, dancing, yoga practice, learning new things
