Embark on a transformative journey with our workshop “Foundations of Ashtanga: Mastering the Basics,” a comprehensive 12-hour mini-course designed to establish a solid foundation in Ashtanga Yoga.
Spanning four weeks with sessions on 4 consequent Saturdays in June, this course blends theory and practice to enhance your understanding of this dynamic practice.
In the first week, participants will delve into the history and philosophy of Ashtanga, while gaining insights into Trishtana and mastering Sun Salutations and essential standing postures.
The second week focuses on alignment and strength, introducing seated postures and breath-synchronized movement, while participants engage in personal reflection to understand their transitions better.
By the third week, practitioners will deepen their focus with explorations of the Yoga Sutras, integrating advanced postures and backbends into their practice.
Week four culminates in personalized guidance on crafting your Ashtanga journey, with an emphasis on self-practice and goal-setting for future growth.
Each session consists of a balanced mix of guided practices, discussions, and Q&A sessions to foster a supportive learning environment. Additionally, participants will receive practical homework assignments to encourage regular practice at home, reinforcing the techniques learned in class.
